Theresa O’Brien

Practice Overview

Theresa O’Brien is a member of the firm’s Civil Litigation Practice. She regularly defends business entities and individuals in cases involving personal injury, property damage and economic losses/business interruption losses. Theresa has defended clients in claims arising from premises liability, minor and catastrophic injuries caused by products in the marketplace, claims resulting from occupational injuries in a variety of industries and in subrogation matters. She is experienced in handling both litigation and non-litigation matters on behalf of small and large businesses and individuals, including claims involving contract disputes, corporate formation and compliance, employment based discrimination claims and mergers and acquisitions.

Background

Theresa graduated from John Carroll University in 1991 with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Political Science. She received her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1994, where she was the Research Editor for the Cleveland State Journal of Law and Health from 1993 to 1994. Theresa is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the States of Ohio and West Virginia. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and Northern District of West Virginia.
